The Jupiter Middle School 'Treehuggers' hosted an International Coastal Cleanup for the Ocean Conservancy with EarthRehab at Coral Cove Park on Jupiter Island.

From the desk of David Culp

I want to share some exciting news with the JMST students and staff. Our “Tree Huggers Club” sponsored by Lisa Zern, Liz Murray, and Robert Mann has been recognized by the District and School Board for the outstanding job that they are doing. The club and sponsors will be recognized at the October 15, 2008 School Board Meeting.
Lisa, Liz and Robert have spent countless hours working to create a “ Green School .” They have worked diligently to see that all of us recycle. They have gone above the expected to motivate their group of students to make JMST a great school

Ocean Conservancy Beach Cleanup with the Treehuggers

Volunteers are needed.....

The Jupiter Middle School 'Treehuggers' and EarthRehab will host a Beach Cleanup at Coral Cove Park on Jupiter Island Florida.

Many thanks go to Keep Palm Beach County Beautiful for their organization. Contact your local International Coastal Cleanup organizer and get started. The International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) is the world's largest, one-day volunteer effort to clean up the marine environment. Every September, volunteers from over 100 countries descend on local beaches, rivers, lakes and canals to show their commitment to cleaner waterways.

The Ocean Conservancy, the world's largest organization focusing exclusively on the health of the marine environment, has sponsored this annual event for the past 23 years.

Jupiter Middle School for Earthday 2008

Kite Beach to Corners Cleanup- April 19
The Great American Cleanup for EarthDay on Jupiter Beach.
Jupiter Middle School ‘treehuggers’ hosted this event with EarthRehab and Ocean Minded Sandals. We encouraged volunteers to sign our petition for Clean Water.

Nearly 100 volunteers helped remove pollution from this now narrow stretch of Beach, including Dr. John Marr the Executive Director for Perry Institute for Marine Science and his Family.
Everyone received a Green License Plate, and Hat with some an EarthDay T-shirt or Ocean Minded Sandals.
At the peak of the activity the American Flag jumper parachuted onto a Runway made from Green License Plates; jumping at 3500 feet from Capt. Jack Reisel's Star Spangled Stearman, A vintage Biplane.
Lastly was the arrival of Jupiter’s Famous Vinny’s Pizza.
You cannot get any better than Hot Pizza served right on the beach. Thanks Vinny’s.

About Us
EarthRehab was created to support nature on the front line and to develop an understanding of recycled plastic materials. We believe humans enjoy natural settings (like beaches, seas, forests, mountains, and rivers), and harmonizing with the wild. Public display of concern for our environment is critical during this monumental crisis. We encourage you to purchase and display our product with pride, nobly supporting a green movement. For the record, we have a 100% reception from the foundations, and they would appreciate your support of EarthRehab.

A beautiful new Web page teaches us about Coral Reef Eco-systems, and Sustainability.
Excellent job goes to AAA South. Visit this page please.
